The new subscriptions also make me wonder if the current state of the world and the never-ending news cycle has got us all feeling … unwell. I know as a queer, immigrant living in the United States, it has not been easy watching what is happening in this country the past month. I’m not saying I am perfect at this but I have been intentionally leaning on my healthier practices to neutralize the frustration, anger, and sadness that I’ve experienced. Ironically enough, running an ultra-marathon (50K/30miles) in the Arizona desert last weekend left me feeling more recharged and with more resolve to help in the way I know how… and that is by providing information, support, and resources for our community to stay healthy

Whatever your motivation for subscribing to this newsletter, at the core of it, you want to improve your health. You want to change your life, and let me tell you - I see it happen almost every day. The changes I notice from my clients are sometimes subtle, and sometimes they are so big that I know my clients are on a completely different, healthier, lifelong path.
I notice my clients walking taller, straighter, with improved posture, or they tell me they are moving without hip/knee/back/you-name-it pain anymore (this is the one that gets me the most excited, to be honest). Or maybe after a nutrition consultation, a client will tell me they are now implementing healthier dishes and foods into their routine. And yes, my clients typically gain muscle and lose weight too.
When you’re just starting, it may feel like it is impossible to change. I’m sharing this with you because I know it is possible. I see it. Daily. Neutralize that nervous energy generated from situations that are beyond our control with intentional movement. Channel the “doom scroll” energy towards yoga or meditation instead. Become an active participant in your health and well-being. Do not allow the heaviness and cruelty of the world to negatively impact your health or harden your heart. I am here to offer my support.
